Second Chance to Live and the Australasian Rehabilitation Nurses’ Association
Hello and welcome back to Second Chance to Live my friend. Last night I shared some great news with you concerning Second Chance to Live and CDS at the University of Hawai’i. Earlier today — when I picked up my mail — I received some more great news. I want to share that good news with you my friend.
Today, June 6, 2010, I received a copy of ARNA — Official Journal of the Australasian Rehabilitation Nurses’ Association in the mail. With in the journal, I found that an article from Second Chance to Live had been published on pages 9 -10, “To Empower Nurses is to Empower Their Patients”, Volume 13 Number 1 2010. I am honored to have had one of my articles published with in this prestigious journal and to have the opportunity to be of service to rehabilitation nurses in Australia.
In response, I look forward to being of service to the rehabilitation process of individuals and families who have been impacted by brain injuries. To be of service, I have written a series of articles to encourage, motivate, empower and provide hope to enhance your rehabilitation process. These articles can be found listed on my Site Map page. The information presented in each of my articles will enhance the service provision of rehabilitation nurses.
To gain access to the full article, simply click on title of the article. By doing so, you will be taken to the full article. As you read through the article (s) and have questions, please take the time to ask a question. And as you ask, please remember that all questions are good questions my friend.
For your convenience, you may send your question through a confidential email or through a comment by using my Contact Page.
I look forward to hearing from you and to being a part of your rehabilitation process.
Craig

Hi Cheryl,
Thank you so very much for writing to me. I am honored by you doing so Cheryl. Thank you for what you shared with me concerning your daughter. God bless both you, your daughter and your whole family through this process. My traumatic brain injury occurred when I was 10 years old in 1967 due to a motor vehicle accident. If you would like to read more about my story, please visit my About Page by clicking on this highlighted link my friend About Page. As you read my about page and questions come to mind, please send those questions to me Cheryl. All questions are good questions. If you have any other questions, please also send them to me my friend. Thank you. Here is my email address Cheryl secondchancetolive1@yahoo.com.
My experience as a traumatic brain injury survivor has been one about a process and a journey, not a destination Cheryl. I am sorry your daughter is going through this process, but let me encourage you with this reality. There is hope and light at the end of the tunnel. In my experience, I have seen how — although I could not understand what I was going at the time what I went through — the disappointments and discouragements over the years were guides to direct me and to prepare me to be able to do what I am doing at this time in my life. I share my experience with you to give you hope for your daughter Cheryl. In my experience, I have found that more has been and will be revealed to me over and with time. A loving God will put the pieces of the puzzle together in the right order and at the right time as we trust Him my friend.
Although it may be difficult for you to accept what is at the present time, a loving God has a good plan for your daughter. Plans for good and not for calamity to give her a future and a hope. More will be revealed to both you and Danielle, Cheryl.
I will say so long for now. Thank you again for writing to me.
Have a pleasant and peaceful day and God bless both you, Danielle and your whole family Cheryl.
Craig
